I am not so sure about that, Joshua. When I spoke with Samy's Camera (Peter is looking for a copy) just a couple of days ago they told me they have a backorder of 400 units!

Good to know the 5D ll is becoming more available. I ordered my Mom a Canon SX10 IS two days ago from B&H and it was not available then. I want to get one before my 16 day raft trip down the Grand Canyon in May.
I ordered from B&H this morning. The salesman said "we will receive the next shipment of 5DMKIIs in 7-10 business days, and the camera will ship to you 2 days after that". I really hope thats true, otherwise I'm canceling my order.

That's what BH told me, too, when I placed my order 3 weeks ago. Shipped yesterday, will go to a co-worker. Good thing I got one from another retailer who actually shipped the first day they were out...

They are still just as common as hen's teeth over here!
Even Norway got a fair bunch of them and some shops showed in-stock for a few hours. Oh well maybe Santa will bring me something other useful like a pair of socks or a comic book
