Hi there, this is my first post, my apologizes if there's something wrong.
I'm from Portugal, and this must be one of the Portuguese bridge's with more shots, at least by me.
It was build in 1966 and it's identical to the one in San Francisco.
More info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/25_de_Abril_Bridge
There is some of my preferred shots, all in BW / Duotone to keep the vintage style of this monument.
I have more than two hundred shot in this place and I'm not tired, every day that i go there i found some new spot to shot and some new compositions.
Nikon D80 + Tamron 24-70mm f/3.3-5.6 AF ASL
Exposure: 57 sec (57)
Aperture: f/8
Focal Length: 25 mm
Nikon D80 + Sigma 28-70 F/2.8 EX DG
Exposure: 0.033 sec (1/30)
Aperture: f/8
Focal Length: 28 mm
Nikon D80 + Sigma 70-300 APO Macro
Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/800)
Aperture: f/3.5
Focal Length: 70 mm
Nikon D80 + Sigma 17-70 2.8~4.5
Exposure: 0.002 sec (1/640)
Aperture: f/3.2
Focal Length: 17 mm
Note: In the morning with a lot of fog, shot with a exposure long than it should be to kill some info that was passing trow the fog. Later in PP the exposure was recovered and this turn in to a high key without dramatic digital transformation.
I really like the first one best. The angle, the halo of light in the sky, the glow of lights in the background, the stars, and the composition all make for a great shot.
Many thanks for your words guys.
The shots are made in different days, this is near my house and when I'm bored and need to take some shots this is a cool and near place, normally i use the more widest lens that i have in the bag, that's why all of this shot have different focal ength.
I think that is impossible to shot from top left and to bottom right, at least in this side of the bridge.
Beautiful images Luigi. You are right, the bridge looks like a dead ringer for the Golden Gate Bridge.
Thank you for posting these images, just keep them coming.
