Hello, I rarely post but I'm actually having a problem with my new MK2 and I can't find it anywhere on the web.
I have a canon 2 foot flash ettl cable made into a Y so that I can have both a 580exll and a pocket wizard hard wired to the hot shot at the same time. Works great on the 5D mkl, I tried it right beside the mk2 for comparisons, and it's defiantly the new camera that's the issue.
The flash is triggered when I press the shutter down half way, and goes off several times, almost like a code or sequence. If I shut off the flash, the PW issue goes away and fires normally. I can have this set-up work flawlessly on the MK1.
Seems there's some sort of new communication between the MK2 and the 580mk2 going on and now it interferes with the "fire" message that the PW is looking for.
it would be neat to hear if anyone else has this set-up / issue. Workaround ?
