After I took this, I did introduce myself and gave them some money (he was traveling with two others and two dogs) They were fun to talk to and got the feeling they were really enjoying their freedom. The Momma in me still wonders how they are and hopes that they are safe and warm.

I did go home and get them a new set of fiddle strings to replace their broken ones, along with some cash that was the best I could do at the time and will be sending them the pictures I took. I think they appreciated these small gestures so all is good.
wish a single woman felt that safe in the world! Actually if I was retired and didn't have immediate work to do, I would have entertained the idea. I think they were good kids.
It's a warm story and a nice picture. That said, I would have preferred that you simply outline the individual then burn/darken the grass so it's visible, but looks more naturally dark.... The burnt edges are too obvious for my taste.
