This is another shot of Victoria BC harbor. A bit less busy this time I hope.

Another great one. I didn't think the last one was too busy, however! Yeah, a lot going on, but it was all interesting.

I didn't think your last image was busy in a bad way at all. It was busy, but a good type of busy. Just so much to look at and analyze.

I like this image as well Tim. I feel like I am in the plane, about to take off. There is a dramatic lead off from the foreground into the background as well.

This image kind of reminds me of life...nobody knows what's in store for you until you actually go out and explore.

Aside from the overall excellence of the photograph, I am fascinated by the wake patterns of the taxiing float plane.
And....could it be....? The two marker buoys look like they have statues of long-legged men wearing white trousers, standing atop the buoys.

I like the other! this one get divided into images - the plane and the background, but they don't come together for me.

Thanks for the comments.
Tom, I have pretty much just the taxiing plane. I'll try a crop and see how it looks.
Charlie, the buoys are right and left in color (red and green) but in looking at the image, they are just forms. None of those old lawn jockeys on southern mansion lawns.

In retrospect, a longer lead in on the plane wake might have connected the tow parts of the image, Hmm...

Looks a little oversharpened, but... otherwise a nice perspective. I've never seen it from that hotel actually

By the way, today it's all covered in snow. There's even ice in the water around the inner harbour! I have images but I'm not on my home computer and this one has no raw converter nor USB cables.

Hi Walter. I'm using a one image HDR technique to bring more contrast. With a DSLR and a tripod, this image could have been much nicer. BTW, I'm heading back there on Tuesday to visit a couple of friends with some less modest photo gear. I'd love to be able to shoot from there again without paying from a room. Here in Sequim, we had snow down to sea level as well.
