p.1 #1 · do i still need extension tubes?

as my start up kit in macro photography, i'm looking to buy the nikon 5T and 6T to go along my soon to come 70-200 4L...question now is do i still need extension tubes or these 2 will do already?

in addition to this, will a step up ring cause any vignetting/ cropping etc?

look forward to all your friendly advise!

Hi Dino,

I'am using the 70-200 4.0L (wonderfull lens!) in combination with the 6T diopter and step-up ring and i didn't noticed any vignetting or cropping. The only disadvantage is the inability to focus to infinity with this combo. Using a real macro lens is much more convienient (but also very expensive!) I don't have any experience with combining both filters maybe somebody else will inform you at this point.

Best regards,

Rob
