I was experimenting exposure on a hummer using a Gary Fong Light sphere
on one of my flashes the other day. I didn't use my usual BG this time and this
BG is natural and obviously was underexposed. But the main exposure was on
the hummer and I thought I got a pretty good exposure on this one.
But what do you think?
Hide, I think the exposure is good, but the colors are very similar between the BG and the hummer, so may be the reason the shot dose not look so good. Your sharpness is wonderful however
I think the shot is lovely - the hummer is beautifully exposed but I agree with Brenton that the bg is kind of sad colored & makes the shot a tad sad...
HIde as I see it it is just borderline from a tad bit dark. I don't think you would want any less exposure than this in fear of bringing up some noise in the wing shadows, however..................your hummer shots rock and mine.............well...........they don't exist so who am I to tell you
Thank you everybody for your constructive opinions. My natural BG is
really s---ks. They are just some green trees and they really don't look good
even if it's well exposed. Well,I'll try someting else for the BG next time.
