p.1 #1 · Embedded image gone, now post itself gone

Is it just me? I don't have upload privileges, but Dave in LA educated me on how to embed an image in a post, and I was successful; it was a picture of a squirrel in the "yard rats" thread. Then later I saw that the image was no longer appearing, and now my post itself has disappeared from the thread. Can someone explain this to me? What did I do wrong?

I'm betting your host didn't like the image being linked outside. Generally, to link in an image, you put the URL with the blah.jpg at the end of it. If you have a URL that doesn't end in that, the code won't auto-link it.

Hmmm... very mysterious goings on. First it embedded the image; then the next day it was gone; then later I didn't even see the empty post. I sure would like an explanation of why it disappeared. I think I'll try starting a new thread and see if I can get it to embed the image again.

I would contact them on this.

You are embedding the photo correctly here at FM. The issue is that right now, your image URL is offline...
