I have a nice little project beginning soon: creating a new photo gallery of wine related images for one of the premier wine merchants in Washington State. Washington is one the emerging wine regions in the world. I am gathering a collection of props: rare antique corkscrews, decanters, and high end wine bottles etc.
The idea is to shoot a series of "old world" style wine related images. I have decided to use a narrow depth of field look using a low saturation style with mainly alt lenses. I think I will use the Rokkor 58/1.2, Super Takumar 50/1.4 and Canon 45/2.8 TSE (Tilt/Shift) lenses with and without the Canon EF-12 Extension Tube.
This series of images will be done over the next couple of weeks as time allows. I am quite excited about this challenge and will provide image samples here on the alt forum as I move forward. I look forward to your suggestions and critiques along the way...
I have some empty bottles of some wines that would go for a small fortune if they actually contained wine. But I am hoping that this venture will entail tasting some good grape juice along the way...
