Hey I was at a rally today for sarah palin/ saxby chambliss. I took quite a few photos and then when I got home I contacted a few different press outlets asking if they were interested in some photos. I got in touch with one, and the guy said he would be interested in looking at a few. He mentioned that they don't have a budget for things like this, but would be happy to give me photo credit. I am totally cool with that.
But in the interest of not getting totally screwed, I have a few questions. What size should the files be? Should I send some small ones like a contact sheet or something and then let him decide which he would like? I would imagine that with this sort of thing, I almost instantly lose the rights to the photo right?
Find the ASMP web site they have tips there. There is also another site that has suggested prices for photos arranged by usage, don't have the name, sorry.
