p.1 #1 · A different take on the Tetons

From my travels in late September around the Grand Tetons. I shot digital color for the sunrises and sunsets, but due to weathr we didn't really get a great one. However, I happily dragged out the Leica's and shot from good old Kodak HIE IR film and at times some low ISO B&W.

These images are film, mostly IR, scanned with minimal post process.

Love these - that texture is pure film. The IR film makes very different versions of scenes we've seen before but they look cool and different to me.... hope you're doing good!

Hey Phil, I love b&w and these are great. 5-6-7-8 & 11 are the best for me.
Is that you in 1 & 2 ?

I'm sure you knew I'd like these. Excellent tones and comps. The only one that suffers a bit is Eagle Creek Falls. IR doesn't do that comp justice. On all others, kudos man! I see a converted camera in your future. Maybe the first 1DS MKII in the forum. Killer work here Phil.

Really nice series, Phil. Love the grain. Is that one picture for every Leica you own now?

Yep, that is me in the 1st two. Kind of hard to keep ones shadow out of a late day 12mm shot

Kevin - Nah, I still own more leica's. I own every type from the M3 through the MP except the M7. No need for AE in a leica I do own enough you dedicate a body to a film type, maybe 2.

These have a nice look to them--thanks for sharing them. I don't have any film background, but I can definitely see the appeal. I really like #'s 5, 7, 8, 9 and 11.

Awesome series. I love the textures the film produces.
1, 5 and 10 are my favourites. Shame about the shadow in 1 but that is only a minor point. Tremendous work.

Interesting take on GT. Gave me a sense of foreboding looking at them. I like the third the best out of the bunch and also enjoyed the Morman barn shots. The IR certainly gives a different perspective on things.
