p.1 #1 · Camera Case (DIY)

I always wanted to get a case for my little Leica friend. Yesturday, I was working on Solidworks and I had my camera at hand. I took some quick measurements with the caliper, drew the part and sent the final mesh to the fast prototyping machine. Six hours later I had my case ready in ABS-M30 !

Here's the final result with the Voigtlander Heliar 12mm.

Damn that is cool! I wish I had those resources to play with. Nice! I would have molded in a better grip though.

My son does this for his friends iPods using an abs printer and a CAD program. Very clever camera case.

Nicely done, as a technology education teacher i can appreciate the designing you have done here. I try to show my kids that what i am teaching them they could actually use in real life. SWEET JOB!
