Is it me, or did the price of the 85L II at Adorama and B&H just shed about $65 dollars?

I could have sworn they were at $1874 two weeks ago, now they are at $1809?

Corroborate?

The Mark I 24L has caught my eye and I've researched shots taken with it to death but I'm highly intrigued by the Mark II version. Mainly the monstrous price of entry. Hopefully it has the same magical characteristics as the 85L.

Look at the bright side. Once the 24L II reaches stores 24L I will be cheaper so you have a choice of decade-worth of proven design at a lower cost or the latest and greatest from Canon

Geez I better buy 3 then at that knock-down price.

I'd be buying a mk I for $1100-1200 anyday. 85L II update was a waste of time. Yes AF is 1.8x faster = still molasses slow.

I paid close to 1800 for mine. A lot for a lens that is rarely used. But I will for a headshot session tomorrow...

Prices seem to have dropped in the past 3-4 weeks. I bought the 14L II in mid-Oct and now the price has dropped by almost $200 at both Amazon.com and BH.
