My cat loves to be held like that. Hes a fat loaf and loves to be held. I need a kid so they can carry him around like a baby all day and I dont have to do it :P

The photo shows a very cute girl with a ver nice natural smile and good capture of HER expression.
I agree with "vertical orientation" as a possible change (crop) and I also think change to BW would make a difference because of the blue (distracting) and the nice textures of a BW toned cat fur pattern and the girls hair (in BW). Try it.
I love it - very relaxed, happy look on the girl, and the classic "I am really disgusted, can't you tell?" look on the cat's face. But as someone said earlier, if the cat REALLY hated to be loved on, there would be no cat in the photo.
