p.1 #1 · Identifying this bird

Hello,

While shooting Mallards and Canada goose this Sunday (Nov 24th). I saw this fellow and could not figure out what it was. Is it an American Coot?

Any help is appreciated

Thank you,

Funny thing is sticking around wisconsin. I would think he would of migrate by now (since it is NOV). Perhaps being warmer than usual might of influence his plans.

And yes the feet were huge!

You're right - - it's supposedly a Summer visitor to Wisconsin. Why don't you have a little talk with Bush Jr in regards to Global Warming & maybe he will concede and admit that this bird shows a potential to being a tad lost due to Global Warming.

Funniest feet in the bird world if you ask me.

Good point indeed, we don't even have snow in the ground yet - I know what this bird is going to ask for Christmas, a GPS
