Woohoo! I finally found these birds today. There were 4 of them--and I was lucky to get good light--not much shooting time, but they were fairly tolerant of me and I got a fair number of clicks in before they flew off.
They just might be my favorite birds--

Nice triplets Bonnie They look like they could draw you in with that deep red/orange beak. I like the environment with them and that was some fine light that you caught. All three are just great for me!

Very nice captures of a beautiful little shorebird.
I really like the lighting & comps with the foreground stone that complement the (unique) bill color.
Don't think I've seen any of these over here on our side of the pond.
