thehotel Offline Dedicated FM Upload & Sell: Off p.1 #1 · Cautious Mule Deer Cautious Mule Deer I saw a small patch of wrong color in the bush so I stopped and waited. When I looked with my binoculars I noticed a little movement. Time to wait and see what was coming out of the timber. Not a lot of light left in the day but I thought there was enough to try a few shots. A pretty nice buck showed up. #1 I used my crow call a very soft call. #2 He decided to sneak out and get a better look. #3 He had that "Doesn't look like a crow to me look" #4 Everything seems OK so I will go and eat some dinner. #5 He picked a open area to eat, but was still very cautious and kept raising his head. #6 #7 Another soft crow call and I got his attention. I think this is a trait you acquire after many years of being in the woods or brush and just having that sixth sense of something that doesn't belong. I often amaze myself at the color, movement or irregular patterns I pick up on and am rewarded by spotting something I would have passed up. That is one gorgeous mule deer Roger, the colors in your area are so different than anything I see, the brush and evergreen and rocks all have a unique hue to them. You are so right and I don't mention it very often cuz folks normally don't believe it.
