p.1 #1 · Winter coming

On a walk a sunny day after some light minus degrees the night before.
#1 A "Fiskehejre", sorry can't find the English name in my dictionary.
#2 Ducks on the first very thin ice
#3 Low sun on the winter wheat, with a light frost

Hi Nybo,

Great shots. The first should be a Blue Heron. Excellent colors and sharpness. I like how you captured "take off" on the second one. You could even crop it down further to lose some of the water above and ducks to the right. That would lead the eye better toward the duck in flight.

Really like the last one for colors and lighting. Still feel like it needs a subject. It's almost like the green fields compete with the trees. Still very nice.

3 is great. Nice composition and colors and lines. To improve I would frame (crop) through tree on left (removes road). And a longer depth woudl be better. But overall very nice.

1 the bird is too small for my taste and dead centred. Off centre and bigger woudl be better

2 is too centred vertically. much more grass and less water so that the main elements (ducks) at 2/3 woudl be much better. Grass would be an nice foreground element too. A bit lower perhaps.

Thank's for comments; I really appreciate it.I have just started "cropping", and got some nice results...and again thank's for the good advice.
