Referenced in Martin's 'Killing Fields' post, here's another view of that soft evening in Flanders Fields, and, of course, a barn. Near Bollezeele, France.
Please enjoy. Comments welcome. Thanks for looking.

Barry

Very sweet. Looks a lot like a classic painting.

This is lovely. I really like the even, subdued light and the highlights on the longer grass.
A peaceful scene!

Lovely shot Barry. It's amazing how the history here can be masked somewhat by the passage of time

I love photographs with a really soft, quiet light like you captured here, Barry. They still my mind.

Looks as if maybe your lens fogged up a little, super soft textures and light, looks so quiet, lovely image.

Nice shot Barry, Wish I could have been there. Has a wonderful feel to it. It does have a painterly look to it which I like alot.

Thanks everyone! I'm really pleased you enjoyed this little scene.
Credit for the soft painterly look goes to the wonderful, thin foggy atmosphere we had, and to the location, of course. I actually thought of some of the works of art I've seen, and appreciate how a lot of the master painters of their day viewed the landscape. It takes a skilled eye to see....maybe I'm picking up some of that, gradually Of course, they probably didn't have power poles and lines to deal with
David, no doubt!! The landscape today shows nothing of the effects of the wars fought through the ages in this region. Thankfully.
Thanks, again, all!

Hello Barry.

Nicely done on this Flemish Master scene. The misty light is wonderful.

PS I deliberately left you the "barn" shot to post - and used a barn-free version for mine!
