We asked 2 falconers to fly their birds for us, and it was a lot of fun., the birds were beautiful, and the shooting challenging.

1.. male goshawk, 2.. Saker Falcon... 3.. Female Goshawk, 4.. Red-tailed, 5.. F Goshawk, 6.. RT.

Nice touch on the shutter speed Raymond, I like the feel in the wing blur. First shot is very cool, and that was a real challenge I bet to grab #5! Good fun, neat birds and glad you shared them

Beautiful series Ray,

we seem to have lost a lot of birds, but we're also seeing birds we don't normally do. I think they've lost their habitats and are out looking for new habitat. It's horrible

So much of the wild area around here is just gone. It's going to take a while to come back. I've not seen nor heard a hawk for days. But I saw an Oak Titmouse & a Spotted Towhee to my great surprise in our garden - - not happened before & they're not going to come back either.....

Anyhow - - beautiful series

Lil - - going back to her cleanup job after the wildfires - - so no picks

Great series Ray!
I really like the way the first and last have some motion blur with part of the bird in sharp definition.
Much more interesting than everything tack sharp. I especially like the last one with the way you've framed it along with that sweet BG.

Wonderful series, Ray. They are all quite excellent. #5 is my pick for favorite, though #1 deserves an honorable mention. It is amazing how still the hawk can hold it's head while it's wings are in motion. What a totally enjoyable experience this must have been for you!
