Alright FMers. We are just about through the 11th month of the year. Time to step back and reflect. What is YOUR favorite shot of 2008? Try to only pick one (not that it matters)! So lets see them!!!!!!!!!
My favorite shot of 2008 was taken in Ocean City New Jersey, our summer vacation spot. I was coming out of our hotel room to join my wife and son downstairs at the pool. I happened to look down at them and saw this. FOR ME, this is one of the best shots I have ever taken and it is one of the few photographs I have ever taken that I consider 'very good'.
Shot was taken with a Leica M6, Zeiss 35mm, and Trix 400.
I've been only trying to seriously get into Photography for the last 6 months, I went to school for Graphic Design and my friend got me into it, anyway I really like this photo.
And i've been learning a TON from this forum, you people are so awesome.
Sony a700, Minolta 50mm 1.4, Iso 100, window light.
I chose this as my favorite because it was totally a spontaneous shot. I was photographing a birthday party. This little girl was one of the many guests. When I walked past her with a camera and stopped to take a picture, she grabbed her mom's finger for security. Her mom was talking to someone else and didn't even know what was going on.
This my favorite interior assignment shot so far this year ... and certainly ONE of my best but I'd never say it's THE best (that's a really hard selection to make). Really stunning home overall. I always feel privileged to be allowed to enter homes like these and take pictures of them all day long. What an honor. Shot with a 1Ds II and 16-35 f/2.8L Mark 1.
2008 didn't do much for me artistically - at least not yet. I didn't get to do much personal shooting, just lots of client shoots. I guess this is my favorite of those shots.
