Is there any difference between Markins Q3 "Traveller" and Q3 "Emille" or are they the same?

Also, what QR plate to go with it? Thanks..

i forget the details but the Traveller is optimized for the Gitzo 15xx series tripod that
allows the legs to be swung around. there are also a couple of other features.

what QR plate do you want? plates from Markins, RRS, Kirk, others will fit

The Q3T has a smaller diameter mounting base to fit the traveler size Gitzo 15xx tripods. The ball diameter and capacity is the same for both Q3's. Any Arca-Swiss compatible QR plate will work with the Q3.

Thanks so much and especially Lars....This makes sense...Just by looking at the dimensions and weight I was unable to make out the difference...

I just purchased the Feisol 3441S legs...So I wanted to head that could fit in the supplied bag with legs folded 180 degrees...

Most had replied Markins Q3 would work... I was trying to use Microsoft's live cash back to purchase it on ebay and save a few bucks, but looks like it is in short supply there...

Is there any other comparable head that would work with legs folded 180 degrees and fit the bag as well? Thanks!

I own both Feisol 3441S and Markins Q3 Traveler (bought for the same reason as you). Well, the head does NOT fit the bag with the legs folded, since they do no fold completely. A great combo anyway.

I belive the Q3Traveler is made to fit the Gitzo Traveler tripod

Well, I was wrong. The Q3T fits the 3441S with the legs folded, and everything fits the feisol (tight) bag!!! I'm pretty happy. Here some pictures. I'll inform Feisol as well.
