Greetings fellow Fmers These photos are from last year, the gear used were Nikon D2Xs, D200 and Canon 1DMK3, The lenses used were Sigma 180, Nikkor 300 2.8 VR and Canon 500 F4 IS.

All photos were taken on Descanso Gardens in La Canada http://www.descansogardens.org/site/

Wonderful series Garen,

The DOF on #1 was executed perfectly for a nice effect. #5 looks like a postcard to me. Very nice. How come all the hot spots on some? With Mk3?

How long you been sitting on these, Garen? They'll go bad if you don't post them

Love that upside down pecker shot, nice grab on the towhee and some excellent work on the hummers n butters

Thanks Mark, it was middle of day in the summer with harsh lighting not to mention my own mistake in metering.

Nice shots Garen, especially like the towhee and butterflies. Hummers look great but they're a bit bright on my monitor.

Very nice series, Garen. Getting a Towhee in the open is ridiculously challenging, and your butterflies are truly beautiful.
