I did many shots for this weekly assignment...these are a couple of leftovers...I kown it is about what I like and I do like all three. I would however like to hear your pov on these. I am in the learnicurve so it helps to get feedback. C&C welcomed...Carolyn
Help us understand what the assignment is and maybe we can help advise you on your vision. Sadly, all I see is a candid shot of a glass object. There has to be more to the story. The big difference between the three photos is the light. Number one shows bad banding. The other two I just don't get.
I think I'd like the first if the edge of the sphere was sharper. I rather like the second image. The "pumpkin" shaped refracted image in the sphere and the small green beads give it an almost organic feel, like a glass gourd born of vitreous vines.
Well I love the first image! Great interplay of shapes, light, with excellent choice of DOF.
The other two are interesting, with the tone of the second more pleasing and engaging.I might try a tighter crop and consider off-setting the globe from the background by darkening one aspect over the other (a matter of taste).
I like the abstract look of #1, but I agree that the edge of the globe itself should be sharp. Neat image, though.
I'll note that I'm the father of a six-year-old girl, so that might explain my thoughts... but I could have sworn that #2 and #3 were an attempt to make an abstract reconstruction of Cinderella's carriage. Pumpkin, glass, wrappings of the carriage and horses out in front, all there.
Now that you have some comments, perhaps you can tell us what assignment you were trying to complete, and what your ideas/intentions were in these shots?
