Just received my new 50mm F1.4 , here's me playing around with the DOF.
Seems a little soft at 1.4, sharpens up at 2.5, I also noticed that it's sharper at 4.0 then my 24-105L.
C&C welcome and appreciated.

It's a great lens and your experience around sharpness matches mine. I own both of those lenses.
Fun to play with shallow DOF. I think you went too far in this image. The blur becomes uncomfortably distracting, heightened by the angle at which you shot.
My own taste would shoot something like this much lower down, with some use of angling the subject to pull the eye across the frame rather than straight up. But I'm sure you will continue to experiment and have fun.

I like Scott's idea of getting a little lower. And maybe having the dominoes continuing out of frame would help with the feel of fading off into the distance that the shallow DOF gives. That said, the color and light are really nice. You are on the right track here for a cool shot. what about plaing around with the angles as well try shooting along the left or right side a bit.
