I recently picked up the Canon MP-E 65mm Macro Lens. These two shots were taken at 5x magnification w/ the 430ex on a bracket. I am thinking of getting the twin-lite, as I hear that is the way to go with the MP-E 65. I would like feedback regarding lighting, composition, detail, etc.
I quite like the first image. I'd like the second more if it was sharper. A highlight in the right eye might have helped, too. Have you tried using a reflector, perhaps a mirror?
