When you have an image you think is "theftworthy" do you post it? I generally save as an 8 quality JPEG before posting, would this quality level and the compression of sizing at 700 on the long side be enough to prevent use of an image?

Any image on the internet can get ripped off and used again on someone else's site. By providing relatively low resolution (640-800 or so) prevents a print of sufficient quality from being produced. However someone with the skills can even use that with some PP....

I hate to agree: if you don't want it stolen, don't post it.

Locks keep honest people honest. They can slow someone down, but if they're intent on stealing anything, it will eventually be stolen.

ROFL. I did just that a couple of weeks ago, but I'd cleverly taken the precaution of locking the car. My wife had to drag herself halfway across the county with the spare set.
