i like #1 best b/c it's the most "natural" expression-#2 has potential, but she's much too contorted-i prefer more natural body positions unless it's fashion or art-#4, the flash is too much-tone it down and blend it into the ambient exposure to keep it natural looking-#6 is also nice-it's a bit posed for me but some like that

thanks for sharing

I think no. 1 is your strongest image in this set. I agree that his eyes are very pretty. While I like the contrast of her outfit against the fall background colors (in no. 2) I find her pose very awkward. I think a shallow DOF would work better on 6. I hope this helps!

I'm going to try to comment on each photo...but might flake out half way through

#1: Not too shabby I would've gotten him to sit up a bit straighter, and possibly recomposed so that his shoulder filled more of the frame (right side)

#2: That pose is terrible. The colors are great. Comps not bad. I would've come in a bit tighter and moved her to the left side of the frame a bit more. But that pose....ugh! What is she doing with her arms!!!

#3: Posture again. Either have him sitting up straight, or in a more interesting pose, maybe angle the camera a bit? And I don't think the neg. space works here on the right.

#4: Lighting is harsh and flat. Hard shadow above her arm. You need work here. If you're using a speedlight, take it off camera. Throw on a small softbox, or put it in an umbrella perhaps.

#5: My favorite out of the set.

1. Looks like a head shot. I agree on the eyes though.
2. Is just bad... What's going on with the pose? Nice light though
3. Looks like an Olin Mills thing
4. Very Harsh Flat Light. Overexpossed possibly?
5. Pretty decent. Still thinking about the b/g though....

No. 5 is a beautiful shot, excepting the excess headroom on top. But no. 2 looks too much like an artist's mannekin, used for simulating poses, but done by unskilled hands.
