A friend of mine has been getting some great prints from WHCC (White House Custom Colour) lately and I was just curious if anyone on this forum has had personal experience with them and if it was good or bad. Mainly their quality of prints and their ability to get an order right....I've had bad experiences in the past. Thanks
I don't use them but they are the most commonly referenced lab that I read about on FM. People almost uniformly seem to like them. The Weding photog's use them a lot.
Do a search and I am sure you will find many threads discussing WHCC.
They do all of my wedding prints and press printed books and cards.
Always fast and reliable. Easy interface.
My customers love the product and that is what counts
We've been with them since our beginning and only had one problem ever (which they fixed). The print quality is very good and ordering/pricing very straightforward.
WHCC is great. Fast turnaround, excellent quality, and great customer service.
They can be a little hard to get ahold of around rush times (which isn't surprising), but beyond that I've got nothing but praise for them. The one time they made a minor mistake on an order, it was corrected quickly and the reps were very friendly, even in spite of Christmas looming on the horizon.

+1 ... they aren't perfect. There is the occasional mistake. My experience has been they really go the extra mile to make it right. Never an argument and their CS team has been most helpful.
Their products are first rate, reasonably priced with great turnaround time. I'd be lost without them.
I've used them for a couple of years. Good work, great customer service (especially when they call about a problem or a question on my order, rather than just doing it wrong and shipping it out). They aren't usually the first out with a new product or technique, but then neither am I.
My only continued complaint with them is that their mounted prints are always slightly smaller (1/8 to 1/4 inch) linearly than the standard sizes. They give a warning about this up front in their materials, but I don't like it. I like the work, especially the print mounting on heavy polystyrene, but a mounted print that's just a shade too small for a standard frame just kills me. So I get my prints from them unmounted and mount them myself.
That said, I still do use them 100 percent of the time.
I've used them for a few years and their quality is very good. They also turn orders around very quickly and ship UPS 2nd day air if your order is at least $12.00.
I have had a couple of damaged prints, but generally they pack everything well and are responsive on replacing damaged prints.
I did have one unpleasant incident in which they "lost" a ROES order and for some reason, even after I resent it several times, they did not receive it. They were not very helpful in resolving the problems, so I went to Bay Photo for a few months, but now I'm back.
I've ordered every type of print, various sizes up to 20x30, Giclée (watercolor) and business cards and have been very pleased with their quality.
