Having problems with my lens. It goes to infinity focus but, if my camera is set to focus priority it won't fire if i try to focus on something at 10 feet distance or more. It's a Nikkor 24mm f2.8 non D version. I know this lens doesn't send distance information to the camera so maybe thats it. Any idea's.
The focus indicator will not say that it is focused at the hyperfocal distance. The hyperfocal distance exploits the DOF and aperture to get everything in focus. The focus rangefinder works by checking focus on the selected focus point, i.e. requires the correct focusing distance set.
