Hi, i am new to this forum. =] well anyways i am having problem when i am doing flash photography. i haev a nikon d50 with a sb-600 flash. when i first had the flash it was great and it worked perfectly. Now wheni take pictures with flash it shows this shadow on the bottom of the picture. no matter the angle of the flash head theres a dark black shadow. when i turn the camera on its side n take a pic it still have a shadow. can anyone please help. however when i take pictres with no flash the picture is normal (no dark black shadow)
I think the right answer is for you to take it to a repair shop/center/whatever and have someone check it out. On your way, or before you do that (if you want other options):
I want to say that you are seeing your shutter, but the exif data for picture#1 has a 1/60s shuterspeed (should be long enough). You might try varying the shutter speed (1/10, 1/30, 1/120, 1/200, 1/500, 1/1000) and see what happens.
You might also put the flash into high speed sync mode - see if that makes a difference.
