Sorry I have to start a new thread, but no one in the Master Thread seems interested in discussing anything but Autofocus and the D700. I will mainly shoot landscapes with the new 5D, but would also like to try out the video. Will this require a UDMA card, or will my trusty old Ultra II's do the job? Gil_W Offline Upload & Sell: Off p.1 #2 · Fast card for 5D II video needed? I'm in the same boat as you are and plan on getting a couple of UDMA cards and a Firewire 800 UDMA card reader. I always use Sandisk, but may try a cheaper card due to the fact I plan on getting 8gb or larger cards. I remember reading somewhere here that those who plan on using the 5DII for video were going to have to put out some additional funds. I guess this might be the first of those funds to go to B&H. I asked a similar question in the master thread and got one reply: http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/688320/85#6228605 I decided if I was going to spend that much on the camera then I wouldn't skimp on the CF card.
