At iso 100, images from this new camera are razor sharp. Shot with Canon EF 24-70/F2.8L set to F6.3 and 1/100 and EX580II fired off the celing.

Was this shot as in-camera JPEG or RAW? If JPEG, what settings were used? If RAW how did you process the photo?

It would also be very helpful if you could post a little 100% crop of the area of focus...

William: Sure it's the lens but 15MP sensor sure adds to that.
Daan: The image was shot RAW and converted to JPG with Canon DPP 3.5 which I got in the box.

Sorry Pilles. On my 24" screen and 1920X1200 resolution, this image looks small. Here's another straight portrait, shot at iso 100 with flash fired off the celeing.

Nice setup...go make some great pictures! John...I agree! So sad to see people run around with the latest greatest gear and never learn "how" to take good pictures.
