Do that with some real wood, and it would be sharp! Zebra wood, Purple Heart, etc.

Crossed my mind, but not anytime soon. Lens would be easier, you can turn them on a lath. If you plan it right the "L" red ring could be a a nice accent wood and the Rubber Grip could be a dark walnut with the rest being a lighter wood. Put a cheap glass filter on the front with a picture of the lense insides might give you some depth.
