p.1 #1 · Lake Tekapo - Revisited

In early 2006, I visited New Zealand on hols and loved it so much we now live there,

One area we visited was Lake Tekapo and Pukaki, and we got the chance to go back last weekend.

I posted a couple of shots a few months ago when I first posted on here (link below)

I took a 'few' more shots this weekend and would appreciate any comments

#1 A new take on an old favourite (water a lot lower this time)

Hi Adam,

I really want to get across to NZ one day. It looks like an amazing place!

I like the low angle and interesting sky in the first and second, although the lean on the church is a bit off-putting. I think the next few, while showing off the beauty in the area, suffer from a bit too much plain blue sky, although I like what you've done with the placement of the rocks in #5. The panos are a bit hard to judge at that size but look really nice. I like the last too!

Nice picts.
Perhaps a less vignetting lens, vignette reduction in ACR or a higher f stop would help the problem with the 'joins'.

Thanks for the comments. I may go back to the church photo and see about straightening the church (one day...) and I will take a look at fixing the vignetting on the individual shots and restitch.

Hi

We have just been there this weekend and all the shots are from then. The weather was on and off!

Friday 24C, Saturday 2C with snow, Sunday 10C with perfect powder skies.

Hope you have a good trip. Are you here on a long holiday?

Hi Adam,

Def. prefer the church straighter! I dont fell like it needs proping up any more Also like the lift in brightness you gave it too!
