p.1 #1 · Is Anyone Else Here Psyched About The Zeiss Glass?
Everyone seems to be focusing on bodies here with the news but bodies come and go. Glass is forever! I'm really excited about the Zeiss offerings, way more than anything else. I can't wait to add a Planar T 1.4/50 to my arsenal!

I'm excitedas I already have 3 ZF lenses and adapter. But since I also have a fujifilm S5 and Fujifilm UV-VIS-IR abd Nikon D700 I am left with doubling up glass for EF mount and F mount or continue with just ZF use the adapter and stopped down metering. I am currently looking at the 100mm, 18mm and newly announced 21mm. My 24mm abd 35mm L lenses spend more time on the shelf once I got the ZF lenses.

i think the zeiss 35mm 1.4 that's projected to come out at photokina will be quite an interesting lens. I have a 35L, and if zeiss can trump that lens in the sharpness category (contrast is only a photoshop away), hmm...
i'm not one for manual focus, but the fact that focus confirmation remains intact might make me take a risk on the 35 1.4 if and when it comes out.
