p.1 #1 · Bulk-convert to jpeg?

Sorry for the noob question:

I typically run all my raw files through Optics Pro, and convert to TIFF. Then I laboriously do all my editing. When done, I may have 200+ TIFFs in a folder, all finished.

What is the easiest way to batch-convert them to jpeg? I can't seem to figure it out. I'm as noob as noob can be when it comes to post.

All I have is my Mac G5 with stock Leopard apps, DxO, and PS CS2.

-thanks.

You can write an action in CS, then make a droplet to handle an entire folders worth of images.

Did CS2 have the Image Processor built in or did you have to download it? I don't see it on Russell Brown's page http://www.russellbrown.com/tips_tech.html

The Image Processor is what you want.

I use ImageConverter Plus, it lets you do all sorts of resizes, quality adjusts, conversions etc.

FastStone Image viewer at faststone.org. Freebie, does lots of batch stuff.

ImageConverter Plus & FastStone Image viewer seem to be windows-only.
As I wrote, I use a Mac. Those might help someone else reading this thread, though.

Greameak & Tomrock,

I have a friend who knows PS fairly well. I'll ask him how to write an action & droplet (no idea what that is) or how to find the image processor. Now at least I know what specifically to ask.

Thanks.

Check the File menu, Scripts flyout and see if it's there. I just can't remember if it shipped with PS or if I installed it.

No good, Tom. All I see is various "export layers" options.

I found this info on Image Processor fairly easily:
http://64.233.169.104/search?q=cache:xE7te9hzRbwJ:veerle.duoh.com/blog/comments/image_processor_a_secret_inside_photoshop_cs2/+image+processor+photoshop&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=us

But no idea yet how I can download it.
More research needed, unless someone can provide a direct url and save me some time.
(The older I get, the more valuable time becomes!)
