Well I tried these in "Nature and Wildlife" and had 80some views, but no comments. Are they that bad? Just looking for any C&C to help me progress forward.

#1 seems quite out of focus. I assume we are supposed to look at the two bees, but focus seems on the front of the stamens.
Perhaps a bit more DOF would have helped?

I'm also going to guess on how to improve the exposure (having never actually done it myself) :
Because the center of attention is so dark, compared to the surrounding petals, you might want to try a flash with a snoot. Find a way to get some light ONLY on the dark areas.
Otherwise, maybe do an HDR, with very careful Photoshopping afterwards?

Cableaddict- I agree the front bee is out of focus. He kept moving around, so I just focused on the center of the flower and hoped for the best. Thanks for the advice on using a flash.
who me- I agree with you as well. I didn't even think of using a flash to bring out the detail. Time for another walk.

Not that bad, but there are many wonderful images on that forum.
I agree with the comments above. Msin issue with the first is lack of sharp focus on the bees. Lighting, framing, saturation, bokeh all pleasing.
2nd has too little shadow detail. Also an odd crop Bee and cone are focus but the bee is a bit cramped up in the top of the frame. Given his orientation, the image would be better with the center of the cone on the right, not left third of the image.
Again, bee is not sharp enough, cone is dark. Saturation, bokeh are excellent.
Takes a lot of practice to get close for these captures. I'm not sure where you are but in New England we are starting to get some cooler nights and the bees move far more slowly as the days shorten, making it easier to get close in.

For this shot, my preference is more depth and focus , since it is about the flower and the bee.
I like 2 better because it is a bit simpler. 1, with 2 bees has more competition between bee and flower, whereas 2 does not, for me. I would go up to f16 with higher iso to keep the shutter speed up.
Bees are tough because they move and the flow moves - I have tried it. So I suggest shoooting a burst and 1 will work.
