<to the beat of The Fresh Prince theme song>

Now this is the story all about how
My gig got flipped, turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute just sit right there
and recline your photog-ass in that high-back chair
(Dooooo....doot doo doot doo....)
Innnnnn Toronto, Ontario, born and raised,
in the studio was where I spent most of my days,
Playin' Minesweeper, thinkin' cameras s'all cool,
Never thought I'd shoot a wedding where the highlight was tha pool?
Well a couple of brides, they thought up somethin' "good"
"Have a wedding in our backyard, we should!"
It gave me a little fright, (wouldn't you be scared)
I said " to shoot this wedding well I gotta get my self prepared"
I begged and pleaded with the bride that day
But she said "backyard only, that's the way it'll stay"
She signed on the line, and she paid the deposit
I put my camera on, grabbed my AB's from the closet
I whistled for my girlfriend, and when she came by
I said "today's weddings' setting make this dude wanna cry"
If anything I could say that this shoot was rare
But I thought "naw, forget it, let's complain once we're there!"
I pulled up to a house and the morning was a steamer,
Could tell the address right, because the front was laced with streamers
Looked at my "chapel", I was finally there
To shoot a small wedding, a backyard affair
(dooooo...doot doo doot dooo....)
So...yeah. Wedding last weekend was in a backyard, a very small affair, maybe 12 guests...actually, it was very nicely decorated, very pretty indeed, but it presented many challenges. It was difficult to get 'creative', as very few angles left a background without suburbia in it...it was fairly small, so having a range of shots was tricky to get..and it occurred about 2:30-3:30pm, so the sun was really intense. The formals were just the b/g, shot at a local park, so that was interesting...I did some very abstract things for them, since they are all about 'artistic' works for the day...Still processing from the ceremony onwards...anyways, enjoy.
Someone on here once said "..no bride wants a picture of their shoes, anyways!" - My bride requested many..! This is one of a ton, but I'll spare you the series...

I love everything about this - the desat, the slant, the abstractness of them just looking nowhere, being almost out of frame...I'm sure most will not.

Love this one too

Reminds me of a Magritte composition (will PS out those weeds on the shore in the final, though...)
