Is there any way to put the shadow/highlight tool on its own transparent layer?
I don't like having it on a duplicate BG layer as it sometimes messes up the workflow.
1. Make your changes in ACR and open image in Photoshop as a SmartObject. Then you can always go back and make adjustments.
2. Convert the existing layer to use Smart Filters, then place your S/H adjustment on that layer. The added benefit is you can go back and make tweaks.
