Ok, under the heading "Dumb Question of the Day" ... when someone replys to a post and they include the other persons comment, it shows up in orange color, so you know its the other persons comment. Then the responder's comment shows up in regular color (white or black or whatever).

How do you get the quoted comment to show up in color (orange). And yes, I searched the FAQ but I still didn't see anything about how to do this. And when I hit the Reply button, and then the 'Insert Quote' button, it pops up a small one-line box that wants me to type in the quoted comment. Well, I didn't want to retype all of the original comment, so I tried Copy & Paste, but that didn't work.

I know it has to be something simple. But like Jimmy Buffett said, It Just Plumb Evaded Me.

How is it done? And why isn't it in the FAQ?

You put {quote} before and {/quote}after it - but with these brackets [ ] not { }

It is not in the FAQs - because you can work it out by looking at what happens when you press quote in the post you want to quote.

So - press "quote" (it's between Report and Reply at the bottom right of the post and just edit the bit between the quote brackets if you don't want to quote it all.

Once again Paul, Thank You, Thank You. I knew it had to be something simple. I have been using the Quick Reply box at the bottom of the thread and the Post Reply button at the top right of the thread, but I never noticed the Quote button you pointed out.

Some of these buttons I would like to push just to see what they do. But I'm afraid I will screw up the board and get flamed for doing something stupid... "Why You Dumb Arsed Second-Cousin of a Fruit Fly, Don't You Know Any Better Than To....!!%$&@!!"

Thanks again for your help with that pic of my granddaughter. I printed out your instructions and use it as a step-by-step tutorial.
