p.1 #1 · D80 Problem

I don't shoot Nikon, but I have a friend who just bought a D80 a few months ago and has gotten into the photography business. Recently, he was out using his camera when suddenly, the LCD screen stopped working. Now, he can not access the menu, picture replay, or anything else that requires the LCD; all he gets is a black screen. His camera still works fine and can take pictures perfectly though.

I thought I would post this problem up here to see if any Nikon users could help me to help him. Thank you!

So, what's broken, and how does it need to get fixed?

Simple, have him send it to one of the Nikon service centers for diagnosis and a repair estimate. Go to the Nikon USA website for instructions.

It could be one of several causes, such as connectors or the LCD itself. Nikon USA website has a list of the repair centers.
