Interesting, I also captured some shot of this bird with Nikkor 105mm f1.8 lens, for this forum only..

Last week got my new lens, any purchase after 5-6months...

Nikkor 105mm f1.8, lens with little tight focusing ring... Bought locally (Columbus, OH) for $100... After using few days, seems like, not a bad deal.. and surprisingly, there are no samples with this lens here...

Nice grabs of the rainbow parakeet.Looks like someone was at the Columbus Zoo.We were there on friday.These birds are great to photograph because they allow you to get so close.

Which is actually quite a reasonable price, it's not much more than a 90 Summicron pre-Aspherical goes for and the Nikkor is significantly less common.

It's too bad that you can't easily convert from S to LTM mount. There is a coupled M mount adapter available (in S and Contax forms), but it's a $300 handmade item from South America.

Leica 90mm Summicron-M, last version before the APO, E55 filter. Not much interest for dSLR users, but if comparing the bokeh from the R to M, then these might be useful.

Prakticar PB mount Pentacon Prakticar 135mm f2.8 on Canon Rebel XSi..

I got this lens few months back, but not able to try... I had to sand EOS-PB adapter to very thin sheet to get infinity focus....

I love how far out the 105/1.8 focuses before infinity. This guy was pretty far from where I was standing.

Very nice! looks like the 105/1.8 is great for street photography. My favorite for the same purpose is the minolta MD 85mm f2.
