You like it...Thats the worst bokeh I've ever seen!!!
I think that is the most beautiful bokeh I have seen so far in this thread. I will try to get a hold of this lens now. I have the OM 50 1.2 and the Rokkor 58 1.2, and this is right up there with them.
I don't know...I can't stand all those ring highlights. I find the OM 55 f/1.2 bokeh terrible. The 58 f/1.2 isn't perfectly buttery, but it's very nice in 99% of situations, and I really like the character, but this is too much 'character' for my taste.
You could do it with rokkor the same, just focus on 0.6m and include in to the frame spot lights.
IŽll do that Dmitry! I think this kind of bokeh makes the image so rich, instead of just softening things out. Then again I am looking to buy the soft-bokeh Sigma 50/1.4 when I can be sure the AF issue has been sorted.
Here's a shot from one of my favorite portrait lenses, the Carl Zeiss Jenna 135mm f/3.5 MC. This little gem is quite sharp wide open, nice and contrasty, and gives some really nice bokeh.
I'm starting to agree with some of you here, that 'ugly' bokeh can add something unique and beautiful and rich when used right. These OM55/1.2 samples blow me away.

Forestmage, I'm not too keen on that Voigtlander bokeh, but I REALLY like the color. It's especially impressive compared to the otherwise excellent ZF 50 makro.
How is that lens with the "close up" adapter mounted?

you know, I haven't used the close up adaptor yet, but I am hoping to this week. I'll post a sample here when I do.

I've had some time to play around with my Rokkor 58/1.2 and I thought I'd add a shot with some pretty challenging conditions. Taken at either f1.2 or f/2 -- I can't recall which.

Going by the "iffy" bokeh I'd guess it was at f1.2.
Looks as if he is holding the camera and taking the picture himself.
About this forum... I see more talent here, than any other forum I used to visit on a regular basis. I used to visit the canon forum alot more than I do now, but I got tired of seeing the same questions, arguements, and rumors posted over and over again.
