p.1 #1 · New D3 firmware

I'm missing a step in how to do this I guess.

Firmware update is downloaded, expanded, and file AD3_0200.bin is copied to the root of the CF card in the camera.

The next step is supposed to be to update the firmware using the Setup Menu on the camera.

All that does is show me what is currently installed (A 1.10 & B 1.11). What painfully obvious step am I overlooking here?

If everything is in the correct place on your CF card, you should also see an option to do the update on that screen.

Thanks, your reply forced me to look at the situation afresh, and what I had done is simply remove the card from slot 1, which had shots on it, leaving only a blank formatted card in slot 2, where I had copied the bin file. Update cannot apparently be done from slot 2, and moving that card to slot 1 produced the option to update and success.
