p.1 #1 · Fuji S2 Battery Life?

My Dad has a Fuji S2 and has been complaining for quite awhile that he is only getting around 70 shots per charge before he has to replace the batteries. Is this normal for this camera? I have been trying to talk him into selling the camera and getting a D300

but so far no luck.
