I always have a 4GB card in and it says for example 192 but usually D/L the shots the same day. My Pc has been unplugged this past week so I was up to over 200 shots and it was still telling me I had 50 or so left. (quite a few 14 bit hence less than your 325) wierd. some discrepancy is inevitable as the file size varies (depending on content of the shot i think) but that's a huge amount - like 70% more shots available than it's reporting. Any type of compression will give different results on different images: some compress more, some less. So the camera estimates the "shots remaining" in an extremely conservative fashion, as though every shot was going to achieve only minimal compression. That estimate is almost always wrong, and always on the low side. You should expect to see 70%-90% more shots than it promises, e.g. an 8GB card estimates 300 shots but usually delivers 550-600 images.
