One day I am going to have to shoot some delta 3200. Just love the grittiness. That first one of the dog jumping over the obstacle really draws my attention.

Interesting shots Dan, but I'm surprised to hear those are Acros in Rodinal. they certainly don't look like what I get with that combo.
anyway I've been thinking I need to shoot some more 4x5 myself. I don't think Ive used the Sinar in like a year and it's finally cool enough to get under a dark cloth.
redisburning, curious what characteristics you expect from Acros/Rodinal?
This was my 1st neg development in about 45 years and am fine tuning the process.
Is it a grain or contrast thing??
Thanks
Hi guys,
great shots in this thread, I am really enjoying it browsing through the pages! Every now and then I like to shoot film as well. In December last year I switched from Nikon digital to a Leica MP with some Leica lenses and since June I have a M9 as well. But shooting film is really special, no peeping on the display, getting the slides back is always so exiting and the quality of a good exposed slide is just awesome! The only downside is that I never get them digitalized as good, so they just show in a small percentage of the quality and atmosphere .
nice shots Peter. in the end, if you want good digitization, I feel it's best to do it yourself or to contract out to a (one) person who you trust. they look pretty good anyway.
Dan, I don't know what to say. it just looks so totally unlike what I get when I shoot that combo I wouldn't have guessed it at all. do you have it rated down to 50 or something?
Fellow hobbyist I know does it for a fee
All I know is he uses Ilford DD-X at 1+4 dilution
Scans with a Coolscan 9000
I get a private Google Drive link and he mails back the negs
A wee pricey and I complain everytime I send it in
But always get them back with a smile and thinking it's all worth it
The last commercial lab to do this in Singapore just closed in June
Can't justify the cost of doing it myself since I shoot film so rarely
Had that roll of Ilford since Dec last year!
I've only ever kept to black and white for film
Digital for colour
Broke that streak with some store bought Ultramax
The woman was notorious for being nasty to customers
Somehow being an excellent hawker gives you the right to treat others with disdain
Yet the customers lap it up, as if an accolade of the highest order
And the cycle continues ala Soup Nazi?
She did survive a major boycott a couple of years ago from what our guide told us
No idea if she's turned over a new leaf
Food's amazing though, I bowed in deference
Zone focused and walked in front of the fry zone hoping I wouldn't get ticked off...
xpro-ed slightly
I went and shot some more today to put my new 55/2.8 Micro-Nikkor Ai-S to the test. Conclusion? 3rd favorite macro I own for Nikon. Oh well, these don't cost much so NBD
