Scored a working minolta maxxxum 7000 sans lens at Goodwill for 2.99. Picked up a 35-70 f/4 "mini beercan" on ebay and have a wonderful shooting 35mm camera! From the first roll of gold200, my grandson playing with my wife in the back of the car

A camera for the cost of one roll of film. These are truly great times to be shooting film.

Here's some 35mm HP5 shot in the Bessa with an oooold 9cm Elmar (I think all these are the 90 - if not, they are an almost as old Industar 61LD)...

Not sure I am digging these tones and grain. I haven't shot HP5 in awhile ... I have quite a stash of it, but have been shooting my beloved old ortho cine film MUCH more. It has beautiful contrast and really fine grain; but is also much harder to wet print in the darkroom. It scans great, though. So torn ... thinking I might sell all the HP5.

Wow, the difference between HP5 and Neopan 400, which I posted just above yours, is enormous. I am very surprised to see such a dramatic difference in grain.

hp5+ is significantly grainier than either the current tri-x or neopan 400 formulations.

I personally find it not worth my time in 35mm, but it's AMAZING in 4x5. there's no replacement for displacement, I guess.

here is one, tmax 100 in rodinal, a combination I HIGHLY suggest avoiding:
