Literally just finished scanning and cleaning the dust off the shots. First scans, so if you feel like steering me in a right direction - I am all ears..
Fujichrome Provia 100F on Fuji GW690III Pro from about half a year ago. First shots on 6x9 as well..

First time trying Pan F....let the local lab develop it and it turned out far grainier than I was expecting. Is this normal?
Ryan - I am not a huge fan of Ilford films, but those seem a little grainier than I'd expect. The little set I posted from SF was ISO 100, and seems less grainy than yours. How were they scanned? Personally if I wanted the finest grained B&W film out there to shoot during the day, it would be Rollei Pan 25, but I am not sure this is still made for 35mm (though it is for 120).
They were scanned on a Coolscan V. They were scanned at 4000 DPI at 48 bit RGB and 16 bit Grayscale and they turned out the same. Would the scan add grain....or is grain mainly due to how it was developed?
I am a little out of my element with regard to scanning, as I am both terrible at it and not the most knowledgeable - I was just curious what you were using.
One thing I am noticing is the skies (especially in the first one) are starting to smear towards the sides - was the film perfectly flat? Also in number 2, on my screen (which is uncalibrated since I am not at home), the horizon is murky - is there an out of focus hillside back there?
What I can tell you definitively is that development makes a HUGE difference in reducing grain.

It was extremely foggy out that morning....you couldn't see a thing out there

Ah, Corporsant you use a Mamiya RF as well? Do you have any filtered shots in that series or is it all straight TMAX and lens - sans filters?
No - all unfiltered. The only filters I can/could use are ND filters for luminous days and even then I can't EC more than 2 stops.
Another scan from last night. I think ICE buggered up the correction somewhat and I had to clone all the dust particles on the 4800dpi scan manually...which kind of delayed my beauty sleep..
Could people with calibrated screens give me feedback on the scan by any chance?
